Amanda @ Upholstery Class submitted her painted settee.
She deglossed the frame then primed it before spray painting the wood black. She finished it by applying a coat of Annie Sloan Clear Wax to protect the paint.

Kelly @ Jax Does Design submitted her updated IKEA dresser.
She took an Ikea RAST dresser and added some Greek key O’verlays and created a faux zinc on the drawers. She applied the Greek key O’verlays to the drawer fronts using Krazy Glue. Then she primed the drawers with Zinnser Bin primer and then painted them with Tremclad flat paint in black. Then she applied Rub N Buff in pewter with a cloth and rubbed it onto the drawer fronts. To give the “zinc” a softer look, she used a pouncer brush to apply DecorArt Elegant Finish Metallic Paint in Shimmering Silver on top of the Rub N Buff. A gorgeous transformation!

Daena @ Bad Rabbit Vintage submitted her Ugly Duckling Cabinet.
She started with an ugly duckling cabinet that use to be part of a vanity. She used plain old craft paint – the kind in the 3 oz. bottles for this project in black and metallic bronze. A fun, whimsical makeover!
