Kitchen Makeover with Paint

She painted her honey oak cabinets with Annie Sloan chalk paint in French Linen and her walls with Valspar in Soft Sunlight (eggshell). The trim was painted with Behr Premium Plus Interior Semi-gloss in Ultra White. The back of the cabinets got painted with Valspar chalkboard paint, and door knobs got a makeover with Rust-oleum oil rubbed bronze spray paint. Such a beautiful transformation!

Crate and Barrel’ish Vase

Debbie @ One Day at a Time submitted her Crate & Barrel knockoff vase.

To create this knock-off vase she gave a thrift store vase a coat of primer. She used Zinsser Bulls-Eye 1-2-3 Spray Paint. To create the textured sides she used Dap DryDex Stiff. The beautiful silver finish was done with Rust-oleum Metallic in Silver.

Black Settee

She deglossed the frame then primed it before spray painting the wood black. She finished it by applying a coat of Annie Sloan Clear Wax to protect the paint.

Stenciled Dresser

She spray painted it with Valspar satin and the drawers with Krylon gloss white. The she cut out a stencil with her Silhouette machine for the top and sprayed it with Krylon silver.

Black and White Cabinet

She painted the hutch with a homemade chalk paint (latex paint + plaster of paris). She painted the top black and the rest of the hutch white. She spray painted the hardware with oil rubbed bronze. So pretty!

Painted Christmas Vignette

Tricia @ Simplicity in the South submitted her cute Christmas vignette.

She painted and distressed the ceiling tile that hangs behind the galvanized flower buckets. The sign above it is actually made from the old brass kick plate that was once on her front door. It has been spray painted and distressed. The garland is made of spray painted pine cones. Love all the textures and colors… beautiful!
