Child’s Desk and Gossip Bench

Welcome Paint Lovers…

Jen @ Migonis Home submitted this adorable child’s desk/chair combo.

Power of Paint

She found this desk at the dump and decided to refurbish it with Ace Hardware’s Clark & Kensington’s paint and primer in one in Ming Vase. The legs of the desk were done in some leftover paint from painting a tin ceiling, it is from Martha Stewart’s now defunct line of paints at the Home Depot. It is her Precious Metals paint in Silverleaf (she sells small pots of Precious Metals at Michaels, though).

Daena @ Bad Rabbit Vintage submitted her sewing cabinet.

She mixed the 40′s minty green she wanted and dry brushed the cabinet going all directions and making sure wood showed. Then she layered on a thin layer of clear wax and when that was dry she put on the dark wax, making sure to push into the carved detail and any age marks in the wood.
