Kitchen Makeover with Paint

She painted her honey oak cabinets with Annie Sloan chalk paint in French Linen and her walls with Valspar in Soft Sunlight (eggshell). The trim was painted with Behr Premium Plus Interior Semi-gloss in Ultra White. The back of the cabinets got painted with Valspar chalkboard paint, and door knobs got a makeover with Rust-oleum oil rubbed bronze spray paint. Such a beautiful transformation!

Crate and Barrel’ish Vase

Debbie @ One Day at a Time submitted her Crate & Barrel knockoff vase.

To create this knock-off vase she gave a thrift store vase a coat of primer. She used Zinsser Bulls-Eye 1-2-3 Spray Paint. To create the textured sides she used Dap DryDex Stiff. The beautiful silver finish was done with Rust-oleum Metallic in Silver.

Missing Doors Side Table

Annie Sloan Dining Set

Meesh @ IMeeshu submitted her beautiful Annie Sloan dining set.

She gave an old dining set new life using Annie Sloan Chalk Paint. She used Paris Gray on the table and most of the chairs. She added a touch of Duck Egg on the table’s edge and painted the two end chairs with them as well.

Checkerboard Table

They found a black side table in the dumpster. They painted it cream and washed it with a brown stain. Then they added a checkboard top – making it a game table! So fun!!!

Shimmery Blue Candlesticks

Welcome Paint Lovers… so for no paint projects last week… it was just one of those week’s with too much on my plate. So glad to be able to feature your great projects again.

Debbie @ One Day At A Time submitted her beautiful, blue candlesticks.

She started by giving the candlesticks a coat of Zinsser Cover Stain Primer. Then she created her DIY paint mixing blue & white sample paint, She finished with Looking Glass Mirror spray paint.

Herringbone Wood Ceiling

Beth @ Make Me Pretty Again submitted her oh-so-amazing herringbone wood ceiling.

She used 100 year old reclaimed wood (douglas fir) and sanded, stained and painted with milk paint to create this AMAZING herringbone pattern on a vaulted ceiling. I’m in awe!
